  • We believe the climate crisis presents an opportunity to build thriving local economies that are not only more sustainable but also more just and equitable

Friends of the Farm River Estuary Website
Our primary focus is on the Riparian Corridor from the mouth of the river to U.S. Route 1, including the floodplains and wetlands connected directly to the river, and areas near the Riparian Corridor that have been or could be permanently protected. We also strive to have an influence on the use of the upper river and the larger watershed, especially where detritus and overland runoff pose a threat.

PACE (People's Action for Clean Energy) Website
PACE is a public health and environment organization formed in 1973 by a group of concerned Connecticut citizens to:

  • promote the development of alternative, renewable sources of energy,
  • encourage the efficient use of energy
  • develop a spirit of conservation among Connecticut residents
  • challenge Connecticut's commitment to nuclear power and nuclear weapons

PACE seeks to transition Connecticut to clean energy through grassroots education and advocacy. Through its 100PercentCT Project, PACE is developing viable plans for individual towns to move to 100% renewable energy. Pace is the largest all volunteer organization in the state engaged with these issues, and its members are active at public events, legislative hearings and environment forums, both in person and on state and local television and radio. PACE produces an informative e-newsletter, CT Green Energy News which is quick to read.  To subscribe, contact Peter Millman at peter.millman7@gmail.com
